"My Playlist, My Self"

Through my years of growing up music has always had an impact on my life. Growing up in a music enthusiastic house, we always were listening to music, whether in the car or our kitchen. During high school I decided to join the band and play the saxophone. Both my mom and dad were in band and grew up playing instruments. To this day, they still continue to play the same instrument from high school.  These songs taught me various lessons on life and how to realize the world has a whole.

Music is important to me because it leads me to a happier and healthy life. Music can also serve multiple purposes like getting us away from the real world and making people feel better. It has a natural effect on your mind, and that is why a lot of people use it to bring up there emotions.  When I was growing up my parents always were listening to music, so that’s how I encountered it. Like I said I was in band throughout middle and high school making it one of my favorite classes. You can create whatever you want and how you want it to sound. That is the beauty of music. It is really creative and interesting, and that's what makes you addicted to it. My playlist can tell a lot about me because of the genre that I listen to. If people were to listen to my playlist they would learn what type of person that I am. Some assumptions they might make by listening to the music, is what kind of person you are and how you act in the real world.

My favorite song out of these five is "Somewhere on a beach", by Dierks Bentley. Just by looking at the title of the song makes me happy, imagining that you are somewhere on a beach with the sun out and the view of the beautiful ocean.  Dierks Bentley is also one of my favorite artist just by the type of songs that he comes up with.  The lyrics are really catchy and you can easily imgine what he is singing. Also, this song is not like the old country that you would here in the 80's. This is modern country that has a new and unique sound to it.

Dirty Laundry- Carrie Underwood

Somewhere on a Beach-Dierks Bentley
