Comparing the Play to a Movie Film

Movies and Plays have very different views and acting differences between characters. Many people like the movie version, and many people like the book. The book is generally published first and is usually different compared to the movie. In the movies they change things that were not in the book to make it more interesting to watch. There is a lot of difference between he two, just like he short film we watched compared to the play. It may change your mind on how you see each character.
When reading the book, I really enjoyed it. It was very interesting and entertaining to read, but when I watched the film in class the characters are completely different. Torvald, in the book seemed out going and very self conscious to other people. When things got difficult between Nora and Torvald, he would try to resolve the conflict. It made me think that he was a nicer character in the play compared to the film. In the film Torvald made me think that he was more of a bad character, Didn't really care about Nora at all, especially when he threw her ring on the ground. It seemed that he wasn't trying to win her back. In the play Torvald wanted or would do anything to keep Nora in his life. I am more sympathetic towards Nora and her actions. It seemed like she had it worst than Torvald and also got treated worse. It is hard knowing that the play and the film different, because you can have two different perspectives on how you view each character. In the play felt more sympathetic towards Torvald, because I thought that he was always getting yelled at and Nora was always talking behind his back. Nora seemed more greedy and care free of her action that she did. In the film it is the other way around. I feel more bad for Nora just because her actions were different. Torvald seemed like the antagonist and Nora was the protagonist.
